Each item below is implemented in the PhotoSelect codebase, and the line under it names where. “Built” means the code exists; it does not mean a studio has used it.

Payment-gated originals

Each album chooses who pays before full-resolution files unlock: nobody, only the contracted client, or any guest. Web-quality previews stay viewable; if a preview is missing the system refuses rather than handing out the original.

Face search

A guest takes a selfie and sees the photos they appear in, searched within that one album only. The studio can rename, merge, split and hide the people the system groups. Consent is recorded and selfies are cleaned up after a retention window.

Delivery ledger

Per album and per guest: who opened, who is selecting, who has paid, what needs attention and the suggested next action. Links can be revoked; a pipeline view shows every album's stage.

• No studio has used PhotoSelect. There are no customers, pilots or partnerships.
• The Razorpay checkout is built but has not taken a live payment.
• Delivery over WhatsApp is not in production: message templates are approved and one test send was received, nothing more.
• Settlement straight into a studio's own account is not built. Collection is set up with each studio one-on-one.
• The privacy design is DPDP-aligned; there is no compliance certification.

PhotoSelect never takes a cut of what a studio’s client pays. Studios pay a flat fee: event packs when volume spikes, or a monthly plan for steady volume. Annual plans include two months free. These are the published prices; with the system paused, the plan is agreed by email.

The backend is switched off deliberately, so a system with no studio on it does not run up hosting costs. The code, the database schema and the infrastructure setup are kept. It is switched back on when a studio needs it, and the first album is set up together with that studio.
